A Jackson County, Mississippi Program

Monthly Success Report February 2023 – Pascagoula High School

Student Success Story (SSS)

I completed my final Chevron Ambassador Visit for the year. This is a program that I believe will be very beneficial to the students in the years to come especially the ones interested in Engineering. I did have a student who was geared toward Criminal Justice and had planned to attend USM, well after her visit with the Ambassadors she decided to attend MGCCC Bagley College of Engineering on the Coast and her YouScience assessment had her geared toward Engineering!

Enrolled: This month we had students that presented their acceptance letters to several universities and Junior colleges. FAFSA is at 42% we are continuously working to increase that number by April 1stour next FAFSA day is scheduled for February 7th.

Employed: I currently have 8 students signed up for our Ingalls Senior Day, prayerfully after our Ingalls Parent Night on March 9th  that number will increase. I am still very, very proud of the students who Ingalls employed in December, they are excelling and doing very well in the workforce!
